Do you want to smell like Akon? Well now you can!

Would it be fair to let only men smell like Akon? No! Now ladies you can too:

The best decision Akon made was signing the now multi-platnuim selling artist, Lady GaGa. But this might be the worst decision.

Flavor Flav is launching a liquor line and Fried Chicken Franchise

Flavor Flav of the world famous Hip-Hop group Public Enemy, has definitely made his mark in reality television. Flav started out with The Surreal Life then Strange Love and after that two more successful shows.

Flavor Flav is planning on launch a liquor line. It will be vodka that has several flavors, of course. Flav had this to say, "Yo, check this out. I want you all to keep on the lookout – it should be on the shelves by January – I'm launching a thing called 'Le Flav Spirits,'” Flavor Flav explained while at the pre-show event. “I'm comin' out with a cherry vodka, a berry vodka, an olive vodka, a sweet tea vodka, a bubblegum vodka and grape vodka. Also, I'm comin' out with 'Le Flav Cognac' and 'Chateaux Le Flav' which'll be some bubbly. Champagne, that's right folks – Poppin'n'drinkin!’”

That’s definitely doing too much. Flav’s not done yet, he also wants to go head-to-head with KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). He wants to open a chain of fried chicken restaurants. The name of the restaurants will be FFC - Flav’s Fried Chicken.

The fourth richest man in the world is Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani. He is the Director of Reliance Industries and has a 48% stake in the company. Ambani is worth about 30 billion dollars respectively. He owns the first billion dollar home built in India.

This 37,000 square feet 27-story building has a 50 seat movie theater, health club, ball room, dance studio, three helipads, and underground parking that holds 160 cars. The building took about seven years to build and has about 600 employees. The Ambani family are hosting a housewarming party for their new home.

Besides the fact that a billon dollar home/building is for one family is definitely doing too much, the building is built in a poverty stricken country. The slums of India are not too far from the building, I can’t see locals being too happy about this on any level.

Quickhits: Sole-less shoes.

Zach Galifianakis and Bill Maher Discuss Prop 19

Zack Galifianakis is a comedian, actor, writer, and musician. Many of you may recognize him from the 2009 hit comedy, The Hangover. Since then he’s joined the HBO television series, Bored to Death and has appeared in several movies. In 2010, Galifianakis has already been in three movies and has another one coming to theaters this month called, Due Date with Robert Downey, Jr. By the way The Hangover 2 will released in 2011.

While discussing Proposition 19 on Real Time With Bill Mahr, Zach Galifianakis pulls out a joint and smokes it live on the show. There’s no script on this show. At most they informed Galifianakis of the topics, but I’m sure he didn’t tell them what he was going to do. Honestly, I don’t think he knew what he was going to do, he seemed pretty high already.

Travie McCoy Arrested in Berlin

Hip-Hoppers, Heads, B-boys, and Back Packers are all numerous names of groups of graffiti artists and/or break dancers. I was in a group called DNA, which stood for Destroying National Artifacts. Those were the days, I also did a little break dancing as well.

Travie McCoy, lead singer/rapper from the group Gym Class Heroes got arrested in Berlin. He became a member of the, “tweeting got me in trouble” club. McCoy tweeted while he was in front of the Berlin wall and noted that he was going to “get up” before he leaves. By Hip - Hop definition, “to get up” means to tag or do graffiti somewhere. Shortly after, McCoy took a twitpic of him and his work:

McCoy must have followers whom are or know the Berlin Police Department, because McCoy and the gentlemen with him were soon arrested. They had to pay a little over $2,000 and then they were released. McCoy had a show in Amsterdam and after arriving he tweeted, "Sooo true, better than drugs!!RT @jerygeeque: @TravieMcCoy no matter how big u get, u can't ever get rid of that graf bug once ur infected."

Tight or Ridiculous? New Dance Burnin In South America

I think we did the harlem shake, the chicken head, and the bankhead bounce. Nowadays I think they’re doing dances called, the jerk and the dougie. I guess in South America they feel like, why would we want to dance by ourselves, lets dance together. Sort of. The dance is called “The Choke.” It’s very easy to do, the girl pushes he butt back and the guy strategically bumps different parts of his body on her butt.

All That - The Inconvenience Store

This is a skit from the show All That which was on Nickelodeon. This particular episode aired on the 5th season of the show. The overly exaggerated skit was meant to be funny but wasn’t. I know other comedians like Martin Lawrence and Jamie Foxx have done similar sketches, but this is doing entirely too much especially on this particular network. I really don’t know the target audience for this show but one has to wonder with it being on Nickelodeon.

Nick Cannon is more than Mariah Carey’s husband. Cannon began his acting career at Nickelodeon at a young age. Now as an adult, Cannon is the host of America’s Got Talent, produced the successful show Wild N’ Out, starred and wrote in a few movies, serves as a radio personality, and finally Cannon moonlights as a comedian. Many of you may not know but Nick Cannon is Chairman of TeenNick and the development and creative consultant for the Nickelodeon.

The other gentleman in the skit is Kenan Thompson. He is also a byproduct of Nickelodeon. Thompson joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2003.

BET Awards 2010 Antoine Dodson Performs The Bed Intruder Song

In case you missed it, Antoine Dodson made an appearance at the BET Awards.  The Gregory Brothers auto-tuned Dodson's interview with reporters about the home intruder that broke into his family's apartment. The video became a Youtube hit, with over 33 million views. The auto-tuned song was put on iTunes and sold over 100,000 copies. Although the sales of song helped Dodson move his family out of the projects and gave him instant celebrity, I just didn't see how this performance was relevant to the show.

Gilbert Arenas faked a knee injury

We definitely have to remember that athletes are human beings just like you and I. They make good decisions and they make bad decisions just like all of us. The differences are, they get paid lots of money, they’re famous, and almost all of their mistakes are publicized in the media.

Washington Wizards’ point guard Gilbert Arenas faked a knee injury in efforts to let rookie, Nick Young play in a pre-season game. I mean on one hand you might say, that’s what teammates do, they look out for one and another. On the other hand, you might wonder, did Arenas need to do something so extreme so Young could play. The reason why Arenas gets a, “you doing too much,” is because last season he was suspended for 50 games and received a felony conviction for bringing unloaded handguns into the locker room. If you have that hovering over your name the last thing you want is to put yourself back in the media in a negative light and get on the NBA’s or your teams bad side.

Needless to say, Nick Young played and scored 24 points. The Wizards' fined Arenas but didn’t suspend him. Arenas had this to say, “I screwed up again, so I just want to say sorry," he said. "I wasn't really thinking that this was going to be another media outburst. It's like everything I do now, someone, tit for tat, tries to blow it out of proportion.”

Justin Bieber is coming out with a line of ....nail polish?

Musicians and rappers have put their names on almost everything. Anything from Chopper City’s (Diddy’s Making the Band 2) potato chips to Nelly’s workout DVDs. Branding gives an artist an opportunity to capitalize financially on their name and fame.

Teen superstar and internet sensation, Justin Bieber has officially stepped out the box with his branding. Mr. Bieber is reportedly coming out with a new line of nail polish.. I know, I know, take a second and let it sink in. The nail polish line is a collaboration with Nicole by OPI. The line will have 14 colors, each color will be named after his songs off his album, and will be sold at Walmart. Part of the nail polish line will be released in December 2010. I know ya’ll can’t wait!!

A sixteen year old male singer marketing a nail polish line? Although he gets a “You doing too much,” I can only see this as being profitable primarily because Bieber’s fan base is young females.

Google #Fail ?????

“My life, my life, my life……..in the sunshine.” It should be more like my life, my life, my life……. is online. So Google is supposed to be the greatest thing created since sliced bread. Google has the most popular search engine and has numerous things it can do. There’s Google Buzz, Google Reader, Google Maps, Google Apps, and so on and so on. Google is a twenty billion dollar business, respectively.

The reason why Google gets a, “you doing too much” is because of one of its programs has a glitch in it. Well maybe not a glitch, I guess it depends on how you view it. The problem is with Google’s G-chat. Basically, if your on one computer and get on your Google account and then get on G-chat and leave the computer but never log off, and then get on another computer, how ever miles away and log in again, your chat conversion can be seen on both computers.

Example: I’m on Michelle’s computer checking my G-mail account and chatting with Tasha. I leave Michelle’s house or computer and didn’t log out of my G-mail and go home. When I get home, I log in to G-mail and continue chatting with Tasha. Since I never logged out of Michelle’s computer, Michelle can see the chat im currently having with Tasha……live. Not only old conversations but the current one as well.

Now to Google’s defense on G-chat it tells you all the places that your logged in, but still this could cause a lot of problems for businesses and relationships, especially if someone forgets to log out of their G-mail which connected to their G-chat. At least after a certain amount of time it should automatically log you out or let you know your currently logged in somewhere else before it lets you log in again some place new.

Maybe I need to be on Google’s research and development team. I need to send Google a resume.

U.S. Government affected Guatemalans with Syphilis in the 1940's

In the 1940’s the U.S. government infected around 1500 men and women with sexually transmitted disease’s. Most of them were men and women that were mentally challenged. The doctors discovered a new form of antibiotics and wanted test the strength of the antibiotics on STDs, in particular syphilis. The goal of these tests was to find a cure and/or prevent the disease. The doctors also infected the patients with Gonorrhea and Chancroid. After some investigation of these tests, the reports state that the Guatemalan government were aware of these experiments, allowed the tests, and might have approved them in exchange for large amounts of penicillin. In the end a majority of the patients were treated and one person died.

Alluding the obvious, “you doing too much,” I am all in for the discovery of medicine to cure diseases. At some point if not in the beginning, there should be some consideration of morals in these and any other experiments on human beings. I don’t believe in potentially sacrificing lives with the hope of saving future lives. These weren’t just tests on people who had STDs, they deliberately infected people who didn’t have STDs against their will and without their consent. This was just unethical.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius both apologized for the research and had this to say, “Although these events occurred more than 64 years ago, we are outraged that such reprehensible research could have occurred under the guise of public health.”

The discovery of these experiments were made by Professor Susan M. Reverby while she was researching the incidents that occurred with the Tuskegee Experiment. This just makes you wonder if there’re or were any other experiments existing past or present that we don’t know about. These experiments were documented in the University of Pittsburgh archives years ago, but somehow no one knew about it.

P. Diddy wearing a skirt

“Hello, Good Morning?” P. Diddy and Dirty Money opened a show called “MTV Crashes Glasgow.” Of course you may have figured out that Glasgow is a city in Scotland. Diddy wanted to show Scotland love by wearing a kilt. Diddy, you’re worth over 300 million and you have your own clothing line, so there are plenty of things you could of worn. A kilt, take that, take that, take that off! “You doing too much,” you could of just worn the country’s colors.

Chad Ochocinco Cereal

Uh-oh-ochocinco! Cincinnati Bengal’s wide receiver, Chad Ochocinco has a new collectors edition cereal out in stores. It’s called, “OchocincO’s” which is a low-fat, honey nut, toasted oats brand cereal. Surprisingly, with Mr. Ochocinco’s antics, reality television show, and comments on social media, this “you doing too much” is not for him. In this case, the “you doing too much” goes to the manufacturer of the cereal. There's a one eight hundred number on the box for the Feed the Children charity, which proceeds from the cereal goes toward the charity. You might say, “what’s wrong with that?” Well, the number on the box has a typo. The actual number on the box connects to a sex hot-line and some woman answers saying…………..well you know.

Ochocinco went to his large audience on his Twitter account to apologize. He wrote, “Awe man Im bummed about the cereal number mixup on the cereal, trying to do good and got messed up, of all numbers why that one!!! Sorry”

MC Hammer is mad at Jay-Z

Hammer don’t hurt’em? MC Hammer is mad at Jay-Z because of Jay’s verse on Kanye West’s song “So Appalled.” The song features The RZA, Pusha T (The Clipse), Swizz Beatz, and Cyhi da Prynce. The beat and the verses on this track is crazy. On Jay-Z’s verse he says, “…I lost thirty mill so I spent another thirty, cause unlike Hammer, thirty million cant hurt me…” Hammer was not happy about this one line, he supposedly is preparing a diss record against Jay-Z. MC Hammer if you chose to proceed with this retaliation record, “you doing too much.” I understand that one line kind of pinched a nerve and we definitely understand why. But in case some of you may have forgotten MC Hammer was a great performer and multi-platinum selling rap artist. MC Hammer made a little over 30 million dollars. Unfortunately, a lot of his money was spent on a house, horses, videos, and numerous other things and people. MC Hammer filed for bankruptcy in 1996.

Besides the fact you’re even considering dissing Jay-Z, I don’t recall you putting out diss records against various people and rappers. One rapper in particular, Nelly whom in 2000 had a debut song called Country Grammar and on his verse said, “…wit country grammar, smoking blunts in Savannah, blowing thirty mill like I’m Hammer…”

Lyfe Jennings sentenced to three and half years in prison

Platinum selling artist Lyfe Jennings was sentenced to three and half years in prison on September 22, 2010. The sentencing came from charges for the incidents that occurred on October 18, 2008. Jennings kicked in the door of assumed location of his former girlfriend and children’s mother, fired rounds from his gun, and then fled the scene. After eluding police, he was later arrested with felony charges for refusing a DUI test, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and other charges initially starting from a domestic dispute.

Jennings released this statement on his Twitter account, “This will be my last post. To everyone who gave me a chance I am forever in your debt. I have had a fabulous career because of you. All I can say in parting is that I have been honest with yaw. I didn’t sugarcoat a word didn’t hold back a single sylible of my life from yaw. I’ve lived a hundred lives in these 6 yrs so I not only won’t, i don’t have the right to complain. I would like to think that I’ve changed lives by changing my own, tho I can’t be sure. But one thing I am sure of is God gives and takes away in measure. He is fair, just and forever. Amen from aman… Smile, its contageousJ

Prior to the release of his debut album, “Lyfe 268-192” in 2004, Jennings completed a ten year prison sentence in 1992 for arson, which definitely changed the course of his life at the age of 19. Jennings continued the success of his first album with three more albums in 2006 and 2008, including his newest album; “I Still Believe” released August 31, 2010.

Braylon Edwards Arrested

New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards gets a DWI after being pulled over for his extremely dark tinted windows on his vehicle. Being a well-known athlete, ranked as one of the best receivers in football, is just half of what Braylon Edwards is known for. The other half is his previous arrest for disorderly conduct earlier this year. Driving while intoxicated puts yourself in danger and others, which is enough to get a, “you doing too much.” There’s more to the story, the NFL has a pick-up my athlete so he wont hurt himself or do something stupid service. No, seriously there is a transportation program where the NFL picks a player up if they are inebriated or unable to drive or for any reason that they might need a ride. It is confidential and his team pays the bill. I forgot to mention that there were other athletes in the car as well.

This story is actually bigger than Braylon Edwards, the list of athletes that end up in legal or criminal altercations is endless. It’s too easy to say , “they are human beings, everybody makes mistakes.” The reality is that some athletes fail to realize is that with celebrity, fame, and money comes accountability. Unfortunately athletes are judged on a higher scale than the rest of us. Every decision and action is in the publics’ eye and will be scrutinized to the highest level. Plain and simple: accept the fame assume the responsibility.

Bruno Mars in trouble

Some of you may ask, “who is Bruno Mars?” He is a singer, producer, and song writer. Bruno co-wrote Flo-Rida's song “Round-Round.” Bruno is most commonly known for his singing contributions to both B.o.B’s record, “Nothing on you” and Travie McCoy‘s ”Billionaire.” Bruno currently has a new single of his own called, “Just the way you are.” The song is doing well on the charts. His new album will be released October 5, 2010 and is called, “Doo-Wops and Hooligans“. His career is sky rocketing to the top….until Sunday morning, Bruno was arrested for drug possession in a Las Vegas hotel. Bruno, “you doing too much” don’t go down the wrong path and end your career early. Hopefully his publicist can clean this damage up. I hate to see good talent go to waste.

I think Amber Rose is super SEXY(all caps). She has the type of body that would look good in almost anything....almost. The red hair, the dress, and extra long eye lashes, "you doing too much."

Chick-Fil-A....?

Apparently this Chick-fil-A is big deal. For those who don’t know including myself, Chick-fil-a is a restaurant food chain that specializes in chicken entrees. The second largest to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Chick-fil-A is based in Atlanta and mainly has locations in southern states and with its continued success, it made it to Aurora, Illinois. On September 16, 2010 at about 6:00am something like 100 people camped out the new location prior to the opening for 24 hours. Sleeping bags, igloos, pilows, and patience filled the parking lot. They did this for a years supply of chicken combo meals. For camping outside of the restaurant for COMBOS they get a, “you doing too much.”

Side note: A years supply of combos which includes 52 sandwiches/fries/drinks.

quick hits

As you can see a well known brand has one of their products recalled. But this popular grocery store gets a, “you doing too much” because you put a sign up in front of where, or used to be where the product was located for all to see. I don’t know if this is “recall procedure” but seeing this sign makes me not want to use any of this brands products and makes me want to go thru the store looking for other “recall” signs.

MTV video music awards....

Over all the show wasn’t bad. The performances were good and Chelsea Handler did ok. But Will.I.Am, I mean your great producer. You are a hit maker and multi-platinum selling artist. You performed with Nicki Minaj and you had on a all black outfit with black paint on your face….”you doing too much”. We get it, we get it, futuristic song and you both wanted show and express that with your costumes, but I think you took it to far. It will definitely be some backlash for this one. Some might be confused on the point of it.

Rihanna performed with Eminem for his song “Love the way you lie.” Performance was ok, but Rhiana’s dress and hair definitely gets a, “you doing too much.” Everybody loves the way you dress and your various hair styles. On the VMA’s “you doing too much.” Rihanna had some white fluffy dress, black military boots, and a red wig on. Someone obviously dropped the ball on this look and hair style. There is a big difference between style and being unique, and this is neither. This is the first time I have been disappointed in her look.

Last but not least, numerous artist was in attendance at MTV video awards. One in particular was not invited. Seems that MTV feels Keyshia Cole is not a “MTV artist” and did not send her a invitation to their 2010 award show. For not inviting her, Mtv definitely gets a, “you doing too much.” Keyshia Cole mentioned on her twitter account to one of her followers, “..I don’t know they’re perception of who I am. I haven’t crossed over yet. I only sell 1.5 every album. that’s only 5 mil. In 5 years” I think that’s enough for a invitation especially when the host is not even a musician and never had a video of anything.

Brett Favre....

While watching the NFL replay today, 2009 Conference Finals - Saints vs. Vikings, and seeing Brett Favre go down and injure his ankle, I realized his race for the Super Bowl was out of arms reach. Although the Vikings could of won the game 4 or 5 times I knew Brett was going to re-retire once again.
The Saints defeated the Vikings and went to the super bowl and defeated the Indianapolis Colts. After a long off season of possibilities, Brett has decided to return to the Vikings and play another season. Of course, the first game of the 2010-2011 season is rematch with the now defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, on primetime.

I am a Brett #4 Favre fan and somewhat of a Minnesota Vikings fan. Last season was amazing, you and the team’s numbers were impressive, and I wouldn’t have expected anything less. Unfortunately, I feel “you doing too much,” you’re 40 years old, you have 20 years of experience you retired twice, you have played on numerous teams; the Falcons to Packers to the Jets and finally to the Vikings, and you’re in okay condition. I feel you on the love for the game and the will to play again, and understand you would love to add another Super Bowl championship to your resume, but I would hate to see you go down and out within the first three games of the season against the Saints, Dolphin, and the Lions. Looking at the Vikings schedule, I don’t see Brett Favre being able to repeat or improve last seasons 12-4 record.
